LIFE TECTONICS

overlap & override,
tectonic plates collide
continent 1 vs. event no.3.
Hercules' tasks were a dozen, but me?
I multiple platform and kid myself raw,
working in terms of 5 gigs or more
but thinking with 4 megs of memory.
My hardware is soft and infinity
lies before the day ends, and curves connect...
when arcs of the circle clock warp and bisect.
there lies the mystery in my demise:
i have 24 volumes but only 2 eyes.
and when all my tracks have played out & repeated,
when all the past month's files are deleted
i must make space for what ahead lies:
unstable plates that crack & divide
vibrating ground wanting regular size,
unending knowledge, limited files
parasite maggots now hungry young flies.

too many things must be done and the strain
tests the malleability of my brain
sinew is nothing without the commands,
nerve fibers rot when no impulse is sent,
weight is equal to force over distance,
so the heaviness comes in absence of movement
my circular thinking cannot escape
the inevitability of my fate:
i have 4 megs of memory, 4 megs of RAM
and 25 Gigs worth of duties at hand.
