SYNOPSIS:

PAINFUL is the story of one hapless guy who kills himself in the hopes of freeing himself from pain. Little does he know that he has been chosen by some cosmic being as a successor to the most thankless job in the universe. The poor guy then hurtles from one body to another in a series of reincarnations--in order to learn about PAIN. Meanwhile the girlfriend he left behind weeps for the selfish suicidee.

PAINFUL is a black comedy, a reflection on job hunting, death, life and the sanctity of freshly-cleaned laundry.

BACKGROUNDER:

Aside from music and writing, I've always been drawing. The comic that you see here is the product of about 2 years of illustration, done while at 2 copy writing jobs for small design agencies which sucked. But hey, at least I was able to draw! And an extra 2+ years of sitting on the finished product. I finally decided to just go ahead and reproducs it myself on photocopier instead of waiting for the budget for a full-sized printing. So here it is. Hope you enjoy it!
